Mika is a member of the GBDN’s 2026 Doula Training Cohort and an aspiring midwife dedicated to providing holistic birth and postpartum support for families in the Metro-Atlanta area. With a background in medical anthropology and reproductive justice advocacy, her work is grounded in the belief that every family deserves respectful, compassionate, and culturally relevant care.
Before beginning her GBDN doula training, she worked with Access Reproductive Care–Southeast (ARC-SE) and Collective Power for Reproductive Justice to advance equitable reproductive healthcare in the Deep South. She also served as a Peer Health Educator at Barnard College and as a founding mother and panel facilitator for the inaugural 2024 Motherhood Healing Festival in rural Georgia.
Her commitment to Black and Brown women and families is steadfast. She is especially passionate about supporting young and/or first-time parents and queer families—offering guidance, education, and advocacy throughout their reproductive journeys.
✨ If you’re seeking a grounded, compassionate doula who will honor your birth experience and walk alongside you every step of the way, I would be honored to support your family!
