We are committed to closing the racial disparities in maternal health by ensuring that Black and Indigenous families have access to quality doula support. Our Doula Assistance Fund provides birthing people financial aid, when funds are available, to help cover the cost of care provided by our network, making these essential services more accessible to those who need them most.

From Vision to Action:
The Journey of the Georgia Black Doula Network
The Atlanta Doula Collective, Inc. (ADC) is on a mission to eliminate Black maternal and infant mortality in Georgia. We are dedicated to ensuring that every Black family has access to affordable, culturally responsive doula care while advocating for the integration of doulas into perinatal care teams statewide.
To expand our impact, ADC has launched the Georgia Black Doula Network (GBDN)—a statewide initiative designed to strengthen the Black doula workforce and bring critical birth support to communities that need it most. In 2024, GBDN began in Southwest Georgia, focusing on Black and Indigenous families in healthcare deserts. By growing the network, increasing access to doula care, and advancing long-term sustainability, we are working to transform maternal health outcomes and create lasting change in underserved communities.
